Trust in the Lord

Dear Tabernacle Family,

I had plans. A year ago, the large training conference I was planning suddenly had no venue. Everywhere I turned in the next few months would not yield another church willing to host such a large event. Why couldn’t I land this? Had I lost my touch? The audience and churches were waiting. Nothing would move this forward. Fast forward. Look at the timing: March 2020. The venue city: NYC.

In our present crisis, I am continuously reminded how God is redeeming the moment. Resources and costs that would have been laid out to run such a large conference have not been spent. A large group of people who would have gathered in mass in the early stages of this pandemic were not together. God orders our steps, and in our obedience, He protects us from things we cannot see.

Isaiah 2:3 says, “He will teach us His ways, And we will walk in His paths.” Our mission is to find God’s purpose in the moment and put our faith and trust in Him, the lover of our soul. Shields Up, Church! Our faith is in the One who knows us best. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord and don’t lean on your own understanding.” Go figure, Father really knows best.

My challenge is to read Psalm 91 daily during this crisis. My husband prays it over our family each morning. It starts like this: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

It is under His wing that I will soar to great heights. You, Lord, are my shield!

Grateful and blessed,
